Four intensive exhibition days in Shanghai, numerous personal discussions with customers from all over the world and many new impulses for the future of mechanical engineering: CHINAPLAS 2026 was a complete success for the maierGROUP. As one of the most important trade fairs for the plastics and rubber industry in Asia, it impressively demonstrated how closely innovation, dynamism and international cooperation are connected today.

The focus of our trade fair appearance was on our solutions for modern rotary joints as well as sensor-supported systems for predictive and preventive maintenance. Technologies that operate in the background and make a decisive contribution to ensuring machines run reliably, efficiently and safely. Invisible components with great impact.

A trade fair is not only about technology, but above all about people. This became especially clear in Shanghai. Our visitors did not just want to see our rotary joints – they wanted to experience them. They wanted to understand, touch, ask questions and see functions live. When something moves, it attracts attention. When people engage openly, trust is created.

It was particularly valuable for us to speak personally with customers, partners and interested parties from many countries. Behind every technical request stands a person with needs, expectations and goals. Successful solutions arise where expertise meets attentive listening.

A special advantage is our presence in Kunshan. With our location in China, we combine German engineering with local proximity: technical consulting, assembly, service and repairs directly for the Asian market. This creates short distances, fast response times and strong partnerships.

The direct exchange with Chinese machine builders and OEMs also showed us how dynamically markets are developing and how important it is to understand different cultures. Anyone who wants to succeed internationally must not only master technology, but also understand people and markets.
