The task:
A customer’s component was damaged by pitting corrosion because it came into contact with aggressive media.
Solution:
The surface of the damaged zones was removed by turning. A stainless steel coating with a higher PREN value was then applied by laser. This significantly improved the corrosion resistance of the component.
