Newly crowned Innovation Champion: Top 100 Innovator

We were awarded the TOP 100 Seal of Quality 2024 for our innovative strength.

Our company, Christian Maier GmbH & Co. KG, is officially one of the 100 most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. We received this award after a scientific selection process by the innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke.

What is the TOP 100 seal?

The TOP 100 seal is Germany’s most important innovation competition for SMEs. It recognizes companies from various sectors for their outstanding innovative strength. The selection is based on a scientific process led by Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, which identifies the most innovative companies in three size categories. Under 50 employees, between 51 and 200 employees and over 200 employees.

What is TOP 100?
An award for the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany, which recognizes the entire innovation process of a company. This prize has been awarded to innovative companies for more than 31 years.

Who decides on the best innovators?
A jury of 27 top-class experts from science, politics, business and the media, including names such as Dr. Gregor Gysi and Frank Thelen, decide on the placings.

WHAT ARE THE TEST CRITERIA FOR THE TOP 100
On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the competition, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and his team examined the innovative strength of all participants on the basis of more than 100 criteria from five categories:

• Innovation-promoting top management,
• Climate of innovation,
• Innovative processes and organization,
• external orientation/open innovation,
• Innovation success

Are companies able to create new products, new services, new processes and new business models?

Are these achievements just coincidences or the result of a structured and targeted approach?

Are innovations and product improvements successful on the market?
